Reverse Transcription PCR Reagents & Kits for Molecular Diagnostics

Reverse Transcription PCR (RT-PCR) combines reverse transcription of RNA to a DNA copy (cDNA) and amplification of specific regions of the cDNA. It is used to measure the amount of RNA in a sample to detect infectious disease (specifically viral pathogens), genetic mutations, and other disease biomarkers. RT-PCR can also be used for environmental, agriculture, food safety, and veterinary applications.

The RT-PCR method can be done in a one-step reaction adding reverse transcriptase and other PCR components to a single reaction tube to save time for a quick response, or in a two-step reaction generating cDNA first and then running a traditional PCR reaction to acquire more sensitivity.

At Fortis Life Sciences, we custom formulate master mixes with reverse transcriptase and other enzymes, buffers, proteins, and reagents to synthesize and amplify complementary DNA in one-step or two-step reactions to meet the needs of your assay requirements.
